Our client, the leading provider of environmental solutions, is seeking a Shift Engineer (Relief) to provide supervision and direct a variety of tasks at their biomass plant in Merritt, BC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of the Operations personnel; perform Control Room Operator duties; and will assume the responsibilities of other engineers (including the Operations Manager) in their absence. Therefore, a flexible schedule is a must for this role. This is an amazing opportunity for a skilled leader who would enjoy being part of an operating team of a Green Energy, 40MW biomass electric generating plant. With a staff of 22 full time employees and a 30 year guaranteed performance contract, the plant will be supplied with 200,000 oven dry tons of biomass fuel per year.
